Early Life and Background

Igwe Samuel Chindo, widely recognized by his stage name SamWHITE IGWE, was born on September 9, 1993, in Aleto Nchia Eleme, Rivers State, Nigeria. He is a Nigerian Afro-Pop artist, rapper, songwriter, entertainer, and environmental enthusiast known for combining emotional storytelling with energetic street-inspired sounds.

Raised in the Niger Delta region, SamWHITE IGWE grew up in a family of four. His late father, Chief Felix Igwe Nnamu Oluji, and his mother, Mrs. Felicia Adanne Igwe, played important roles in shaping his upbringing. His mother worked as a trader in Eleme while supporting the family.

From an early age, he developed a strong interest in entertainment and creative expression. His journey into performing arts began in 2008 when he joined the Sons of David Dance Crew in Eleme, Rivers State. While attending Ascension High School in Ogale Nchia Eleme, he discovered his passion for music during his senior secondary school years.

Between 2011 and 2014, he improved his musical abilities under the mentorship of music producer Daddy P, whom he considers a major influence in his early career development.

Alongside his entertainment career, SamWHITE IGWE pursued higher education at the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Port Harcourt Study Centre. During his time there, he remained active in campus entertainment activities and later earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Environmental Management and Toxicology.

Music Career

SamWHITE IGWE officially stepped into the music industry in 2015 with the release of his debut single, “Love.” The song gained popularity within Eleme and Port Harcourt and received radio support from Rhythm FM Port Harcourt, helping him establish himself in the local music scene.

His music style reflects personal experiences, emotions, and everyday realities. Drawing inspiration from human feelings and nature, he has continued to develop a sound that blends Afro-Pop and Hip-Hop influences.

In 2019, he appeared as a contestant on Face of Images Reality TV Show Season 3 in Lagos, Nigeria. After the show, he further expanded his entertainment brand by launching his independent label and platform, White Empires Gang International (W.E.G).

Personal Life

In February 2020, SamWHITE IGWE survived an armed robbery incident involving unknown attackers. During the attack, he sustained gunshot injuries and lost valuables, including cash and mobile devices.

Later that year, he was involved in a road accident with his friend Bobo Juice along the East-West Expressway in Alesa Nchia Eleme, Rivers State. Although injuries were recorded, everyone involved survived.

He also participated in the October 2020 End SARS protests held in Etown and Port Harcourt alongside other entertainers and public figures, including Hynex Obembie and Andriano’s Beatz.
